Welcome to my profile! I am a second-year PhD student in organizational communication. I am passionate about research and teaching. I specialize in creative interpretive scholarship and primarily study care workers and value-centered worker identities and occupations.

The Poetic Researcher Blog

Why Poetry?

I am drawn to poetry,

Because of the beauty it can convey.

I choose to write in verse,

Because of the richness it portrays.

I study poetic research,

Because it brings me joy.

I want to be more than a researcher,

Or a scholar in the university's employ.

I want to be -

An artist, an activist, a poet.

I want to make the world a better place,

And use rhythm and rhyme to do it.

I read great poets,

So that someday, I might become one.

I study excellent researchers,

To learn from their successes and mistakes.

I am a poetic researcher,

And my words have power.
